Save Water and Prevent Flooding with Rain Barrels
Rain barrels are containers used to collect and store rainwater from rooftops. They help prevent flooding and sewer overflows by diverting water. The saved rainwater can be used to wash cars, water lawns/gardens, or clean dirty items. Cook County offers discounted rain barrels - $21.50 for residents, $10.75 for seniors 65+.
